DART 2021 Winter Weather: Scenario Two DART 2021 Winter Weather: Scenario Two
Posted on Jan 22, 2021 by Krystal-Rose Agu

When it comes to severe winter weather, DART understands that having a backup plan is an important part of safe travel. We’ve developed a second operating plan to ensure just that. Read on to learn about Scenario Two, a full rail shutdown.

Full Rail Shutdown -- Bus Service Only

Scenario Two involves a complete shutdown of DART Rail with only bus service available.

Bus Service

In this scenario, DART bus routes will operate on normal Saturday schedules with limited service added on express routes 206, 208, 278, 283, and local routes 63 and 362. View the Park & Ride locations these bus routes serve.

Shuttle Service

DART will also run 14 shuttle routes.

  • All shuttle buses to and from outside of downtown Dallas will serve one of the following: Rosa Parks Plaza, West End Station or Pearl/Arts District Station.
  • Route 960 will function as a downtown circulator, serving West End, Akard, St. Paul and Pearl/Arts District stations.

The Dallas Streetcar will not run in this scenario. Instead, there will be a shuttle bus (with SHUTTLE in the headsign) running to and from EBJ Union Station and the Bishop Arts District, making all stops.
