The Cat and the Canary is a whodunnit involving the competition among potential heirs to a wealthy man’s estate. His will names a specific sole heir – as long as she’s not insane. The others try to make this happen by telling her tales of lunatics and murders. The production by Mainstage Irving-Las Colinas runs through Nov. 22 at the Irving Arts Center. Get there on bus route 229, departing from the Orange Line’s Dallas College North Lake Campus Station.
The Dingdong, or Take Me, I’m Yours follows a couple’s misadventures during one madcap night in a Parisian hotel. The adaptation of Feydeau’s classic farce Le Dindon has plenty of mayhem and laughter, and it runs through Nov. 22 at the Cox Playhouse. That’s right across Haggard Park from Downtown Plano Station on the Red Line.
Friday, Nov. 14-Sunday, Nov. 16
The Outsiders follows a group of 1960s-era “greasers,” who clash with a gang of affluent rivals. It's a story of friendship, self-discovery, and belonging, and it won the 2024 Tony Award® for Best Musical. Catch it at the Music Hall at Fair Park, a very short walk from Fair Park Station on the Green Line.
Job is a psychological thriller that explores what it means to be a denizen of the internet, as well as our obligation to help people in need. See it at the Latino Cultural Center, just down the street from the Green Line’s Deep Ellum Station.
Friday, Nov. 14-Saturday, Nov. 15
