Ask DART logos blue-navyDART introduced GoLink in areas where ridership no longer warranted traditional fixed-route bus service. We understand that it may take some time to get used to your new commute, but please know that DART made these changes after careful thought and consideration and after a thorough public-involvement process in concert with the community.

By taking a fresh look at the bus network, DART reimagined its system for today’s North Texas. DART transformed the network in a way that provides better access, less travel time, increased frequency and improved service for most riders.

DART also expanded GoLink coverage by rolling out 13 new zones, which include Central Irving, Central Richardson, Cypress Waters, East Irving, East Plano, East Telecom, Keller Springs, Mountain Creek, Northwest Carrollton, Preston Hollow, South Central Plano, South Dallas and West Dallas. In total, DART now has 30 GoLink zones, and DART also expanded coverage in several existing GoLink zones.

So, what is GoLink anyway? GoLink provides on-demand service within a particular zone, and each zone offers service to a rail station or transit center for connections to other DART service. Unlike a traditional DART bus that operates on a fixed schedule, you can’t just walk up and get on board. That means you must book trips in advance. You can do so in two convenient ways: Either with the GoPass® app or by calling 214-515-7272. DART accepts phone reservations from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day, but only same-day trips are accepted.

To book a trip in the GoPass app, simply select Plan within the app and enter where you want to be picked up and where you’re heading. If GoLink is available for your trip, it will show as an option in your planning results. Now, simply press the START BOOKING button.

The service is available at no additional cost if you have a valid contactless DART fare purchased using a GoPass® Tap card or a credit or debit card. For example, if you have an active DART pass in the GoPass app, your GoLink fare would already be covered by that pass. Be advised that GoLink does not accept cash fares, paper passes or vouchers on board. Keep in mind, though, that you can load your GoPass Tap card with cash at hundreds of participating retailers.

GoLink is great for going to work, running errands or connecting to DART buses and trains. Wherever you’re heading, GoLink has you covered -- with zones in the southern, eastern, western, central, northwest and northeast parts of the DART Service Area. Check out this map to find the zone nearest you.

We hope you find DART’s new bus network to be simpler, better, faster and easier for you. If you’re still unsure about how your service may have changed, you can find your new route here.
