Without a success to his credit for some years, a playwright sets out to plagiarize a play written by one of his students. This skillful evening of theater combines gasp-inducing thrills and devilishly clever comedy. The theater is only a couple of blocks from the trolley stop at McKinney & Worthington.

Keep heading south, and the Dallas skyline will begin to come into view. Serving as the border between Uptown and downtown, Klyde Warren Park has been called “Dallas’ front yard.” It’s the perfect place for a Tree Lighting, which takes place Saturday, Dec. 2, from 3-6 p.m. The festive day of activities and entertainment features photos with Santa, story time with Mrs. Claus, face painting, crafts and games. There are performances by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Pegasus Ballet, Turtle Creek Chorale, Corazon and Valiente Ballet Folklorico, The day culminates with live music from the Emerald City Band, visits from Frosty and Rudolph and the lighting of The Mayor’s Tree. The M-Line drops you off right at the park.
