The Other Art Fair showcases 130 independent artists, and features immersive installations, performances, DJs, and a fully stocked bar. The event takes place all weekend at Dallas Market Hall. To get there, take the Green or Orange line to Market Center Station; you can walk the half-mile to Market Hall. You can also take Bus Route 230, which departs from the East Transfer Center and drops you off right in front of Market Hall.

Hamilton takes the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton, and creates a revolutionary evening of theater. With a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, the Broadway blockbuster plays through June 9 at Winspear Opera House. The venue is walkable from Pearl/Arts District Station on all four DART Rail lines.

Patti & Theo is a new dark comedy featuring music, and it’s written and directed by Matthew Posey, founder of the Ochre House. The eponymous couple are struggling Brooklyn artists whose relationship is unravelling amid much boozing. You can see the performance through May 18 at Ochre House Theater, a very short walk from the Green Line’s Fair Park Station.

Country Hits: Songs from Nashville sees the Dallas Symphony Orchestra give an orchestral reading of the most classic of American country music – Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and many more. The concert features both a male and female vocalist. Check it out at the Meyerson Symphony Center, walkable from Pearl/Arts District Station, or from the M-Line trolley.
