DART's 40th Anniversary celebrations continue and this weekend we have a pair of events you don't want to miss. DART will have a booth at both events. Come celebrate with us for our 40th anniversary. We will be having fun games and prizes as well as promotional giveaways.
The award-winning annual Festival at the Switchyard is back in Historic Downtown Carrollton on Saturday, Nov. 4. The festival is one of our region’s biggest festivals – and it’s free!
From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., enjoy food vendors, community performances, arts & crafts, rides, a beer garden – and music, of course! Carrollton brings in some top-notch talent every year, making this a great event for music lovers. This year, alternative rock bands Collective Soul and Fuel are the headliners.
The fun is just steps away from Downtown Carrollton Station on the DART Green Line. If you head out after noon, you only need a PM Pass to ride. You can buy passes for your whole group on the free DART GoPass mobile app, available in the Apple App Store or the Google Play store.
Stop by the DART booth at the event between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. for free swag and to learn more about the future Silver Line Regional Rail.
Also on Saturday, Nov. 4, you’re invited to celebrate the tastes, sounds and spirit of Richardson during Culture in the Core from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Main Street Plaza, located at 105 South Interurban St.
The event is free and will feature a variety of international cuisines and vendors, multicultural dance and music performances, a kid’s zone, and a Bark Park for our furry friends.
