Major Systemwide Service Changes Proposed for June and September of 2024

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) has scheduled a public hearing, preceded by pre-public hearing community meetings, to receive comments on a series of major bus, rail, and GoLink service changes, proposed for implementation in June and September of 2024 in Dallas, Irving, Plano, Richardson, Addison, and Garland.

Proposed Changes at a Glance

Effective in June 2024

IRVING: New Story Road Route 255 to operate between Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing and Dallas College Northlake Campus stations; Modification of existing Route 231; Expansion of GoLink East and South zones to support north/south service; and the establishment of new GoLink zone in Passport Park area near DFW Airport.

PLANO
: New Route 254 to operate east and west over Legacy Road between Northwest Plano Park & Ride and Parker Road Station.

RICHARDSON, FAR NORTH DALLAS, ADDISON, GARLAND
Route 238 realigned to operate east and west over Arapaho Road, extending through Richardson, far north Dallas and into Addison; New route 244 to operate from Arapaho Center Station to University of Texas at Dallas, primarily along Campbell Road; Permanent adoption of current pilot program on Route 883-UTD Shuttle East; Realignment of Route 250 to extend east and west on Belt Line Road; and discontinuation of Route 240 and Central Richardson GoLink zone, replaced by adjustments to Routes 238 and 244.


Proposed Changes at a Glance

Effective September 2024

ARLINGTON PARK, STEMMONS CORRIDOR, LOVE FIELD AREA: Re-numbering of Route 222 to 122, offering increased frequency to Arlington Park and Brookriver; and extension of Route 207 to cover Lemmon Avenue area north of Love Field, including Dallas County Elections Department Offices and the Family Place.

FOREST LANE CORRIDOR: Increase of Route 22 service in heavily traveled area along Forest Lane between Forest Lane and Forest/Jupiter stations.

RAIL SCHEDULE CHANGES: Weekend frequency on all four light rail lines increase to every 20 minutes from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
