No one knows the DART System better than our regular riders who use DART frequently.

Your DART knowledge is invaluable, and we need your help to assist event riders getting to and from the State Fair of Texas®.

On Saturday, Oct. 8 – the day of the Red River Showdown between the universities of Texas and Oklahoma – we are looking for external volunteers to help riders use DART to go to Fair Park.

DART’s External Volunteers Program pairs community members with DART staff to welcome, inform, and direct our event and regular riders as they complete their journey.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and complete an application on our volunteer website.

As a DART State Fair Volunteer, you get a 2022 DART State Fair T-shirt to wear during the event. We also will provide training information prior to your shift.

On Texas-OU Saturday, volunteers will assist with loading/unloading trains and buses, help riders purchase tickets, and provide information and directions. Many of DART’s guests will be riding our transit system for the first time, or they only come once a year for the Red River Showdown. They are so grateful for the extra help!

You have the choice to work at one of three DART stations: Fair Park, Victory, or Pearl/Arts District. There are two 6-hour shifts available – morning (6:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) and afternoon (12:30-6:30 p.m.).

If you are not available during the State Fair, please register using the “Join” button to be notified of future DART volunteer opportunities.

Have fun. Help others. Volunteer for DART. Sign up today at DART.org/volunteer
