Festivals, markets and music await you this weekend, and DART lets you skip parking and traffic and get straight to the action.

Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival has become downtown Fort Worth’s signature event. Experience nine blocks of Main Street lined with food, music, and 200 artists from all around Texas and the country. It all takes place between Weatherford and 9th streets. Get there by taking the TRE to Fort Worth Central Station. The TRE is offering special Sunday service for this event.

Changing Perspectives Block Party is a family-friendly cultural festival celebrating Dallas Arts Month. The event features Melbourne-based performing arts company SWAY, which designs, produces, and performs large-scale performances and site-specific installations fusing theater, dance, and circus. There’s a lot going on at this party, from Tejano music to a New Orleans brass band and percussion-driven jazz, plus performances from Bombshell Dance Project with Pegasus Contemporary Ballet Company and the dance band Aura. It all happens in and around Sammons Park in the Dallas Arts District. You can walk there from Pearl/Arts District Station on all four DART Rail lines, or from the M-Line Trolley.
Video Art Night also celebrates Dallas Arts Month. AURORA and Downtown Dallas, Inc., present this one-night-only event, which transforms a public site into an immersive outdoor exhibition. Check it out in the AT&T Discovery District, easily walkable from Akard Station on all four DART Rail lines.
Godspell was the debut musical of Stephen Schwartz, the guy behind Wicked. The play features lot of recognizable songs, including its big hit, “Day by Day.” See it at The Firehouse Theatre through April 19. The venue is a short walk from the Green Line’s Farmers Branch Station.

CityLine Night Market takes place two nights, with live music under the stars both evenings. Bring picnic blankets or grab a patio seat at one of CityLine’s many restaurants and enjoy performances from these talented local artists:

Downtown Dallas Arts & Music Festival is an outdoor event featuring pop-up markets showcasing a wide variety of area artists, makers, small businesses, and creative brands. There are food trucks, live painting, live murals, and a music stage with performances and entertainers. The festival spreads throughout Downtown Dallas on Main Street, focused on Main Street Garden Park and SPACE at Adolphus Tower. Either St. Paul Station or Akard Station – both served by all four DART Rail lines – puts you within feet of the festivities.
