Our front-line employees play a critical role in keeping North Texans moving. Meet Roberto Barragan, DART Transit Center Supervisor.

A note from Roberto:

My name is Roberto Barragan and I am a Transit Center Supervisor at DART. I have been with DART for 25 years.

I love what I do because I love to serve the public and my staff. I realized a long time ago that what I do at DART has a major impact on peoples' lives. We get passengers to work, school, recreational activities and, at the end of the day, we get them home again.

My day starts early in the morning. When I arrive at my office, I begin checking the phone and reading emails. I will respond to any issues or concerns accordingly. I review and approve any absence requests and/or address any staffing issues that may arise. Then, I head out to our transit centers. Once I am out at the centers, I engage with our customers and staff and provide assistance and support as needed.

We serve a very diverse customer base, ranging from people experiencing homelessness to chief executive officers and leaders of major companies in the surrounding area. I treat everyone with the same level of respect, no matter who they are.

My words of inspiration during this difficult time may seem redundant, but they are: We are in this together, and together, we will get through this. We need to set our differences aside and work together to assure our safety and wellbeing.
