Hidden Ridge Station at Carpenter Ranch opened today in Irving. It’s the new way to begin your journey on DART. Located between the North Lake College and Irving Convention Center stations, the station adds a new connection along the Orange Line – and an exciting link to a transit-oriented development for the future.

Developed in partnership by the City of Irving and Verizon, there are big plans for the 110-acre mixed-use project. Long-term, the development will include apartments and residences, restaurant and retail space, a hotel and a two-acre park.

Hidden Ridge Station makes commuting simpler, particularly for Irving residents and employees. The station provides access to neighboring apartments, hotels and offices. Verizon has a regional office adjacent to the development, while Irving-based Pioneer Natural Resources has its headquarters in a 10-story office building located a short walk from the station. In addition, the station is only a 15-minute ride from DFW Airport.

Hidden Ridge Station provides amenities for your convenience, including connecting bus service, a parking lot with 136 spaces and kiss-and-ride spaces for convenient drop-off and pickup.

From Hidden Ridge Station, you can connect to destinations all over the DART Service Area. Hop on and check out nearby developments, such as the Toyota Music Factory, the Las Colinas Urban Center and Water Street. Or you can venture out and explore the many DARTable destinations up and down the rail lines.

The station has a unique history, as it is located on the former Carpenter Ranch. Legendary Texas businessman John W. Carpenter bought the spread of grass and mesquite trees northwest of Dallas in 1928. John’s son – Ben Carpenter – and his family spent decades turning the hillside property into what you know today as Las Colinas. Now, the property continues its evolution as it becomes a new hub for Irving.

Last Friday, April 9, DART held a virtual grand opening event for stakeholders and community members to celebrate its newest stop. Check out this video of the ribbon-breaking ceremony!
