Construction continues on DART’s Silver Line Regional Rail project. On May 12, the historic White Rock Creek Bridge was moved to a temporary location to accommodate the new regional rail project. A piece of the bridge will be preserved and placed along the Cotton Belt Regional Trail.
The 26-mile Silver Line Regional Rail project extends between Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Shiloh Road in Plano, with connections to Grapevine, Coppell, Dallas, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson and Plano. Upon completion, there will be 10 rail stations and four rail connections: DART's Green, Orange and Red lines, and the TEXRail commuter service.
The Silver Line is on schedule to begin revenue service in late 2024.
