The State Fair arrives in just 11 days, and there’s no faster or more convenient way to all the Midway action, fried food, concerts, and Creative Arts entries than on DART.
DART’s blue-ribbon ride takes you straight to the gate – and straight to the savings! You’ll save $5 on fair admission Monday-Friday and $7 on Saturdays and Sundays! To get the discount, simply enter the promo code 23DART when buying your admission on the State Fair’s website. With all the money you save, you’ll have even more to spend at the fair!
Contactless payment options make it easy to buy your DART pass. DART offers four contactless ways to purchase passes quickly and conveniently:
1. GoPass® app: Download the latest version of GoPass for FREE from the App Store or Google Play. Don’t forget to activate your pass before you board!
2. GoPass® Tap: Pick up a reloadable card at 7-Eleven, Tom Thumb or hundreds of participating retailers and then tap your card to a reader on a DART Rail platform or bus prior to boarding. Your fare is deducted automatically!
3. Credit or debit card: Just tap your contactless credit or debit card to a reader on a DART Rail platform or bus prior to boarding, and you’re on your way to the fun of the fair! Your contactless card serves as your ticket.
4. Mobile device: Using your preferred mobile payment app, tap your payment-enabled mobile device to a reader on a DART Rail platform or bus prior to boarding. Your digital wallet serves as your ticket, and each rider should have their own pass.
With any of these contactless payment options, you always get the lowest fare. If you’re traveling with a group, please note that each person must use a unique contactless payment method to purchase their fare. If a Fare Enforcement Officer asks to see your contactless fare, simply present the contactless card or mobile device you used for purchase.
Free parking is available at many DART facilities, and you can find your most convenient parking option here.
Getting to Fair Park is simple. The Green Line serves Fair Park Station (located at the fairgrounds’ main entrance) and MLK, Jr. Station (convenient to the Gate 6 fairground entrance and the Cotton Bowl). From downtown Dallas, board a Green Line train marked “BUCKNER”, “LAWNVIEW” or “FAIR PARK.” When you’re ready to head home, simply put your trip in reverse and return the same way you came.
Ready to enjoy some deep-fried fun? You only have until Sunday, October 22. Get all the details about DART State Fair service here.
