More than 100 pieces of art from the 2020 DART Student Art Contest are now on display at Dallas Love Field through August.
The display sits between security and baggage claim at the airport and showcases original pieces from North Texas students in grades K-12 who artistically captured the theme, "Paint the town _____. Ride DART.”
The 2020 DART Student Art Contest best of show winning piece by Amber Li, a 9th grader from at the Hockaday School in Dallas, is among more than 100 pieces from the contest on display at Dallas Love Field though August.
Amber Li, a 9th grader at the Hockaday School in Dallas, won the best of show award in the competition. In addition to a $1,000 cash prize, her winning art has its place on a DART bus traveling across the agency's 13-city service area.
The airport exhibit is part of Dallas Love Field’s Art Travelers Exhibition, which promotes diversity in the visual arts as well as displays of culture to the traveling public.
