Question:
What can I do to keep myself, my family and my community safe from COVID-19?

Answer:

Follow the three W's!

  • Wear a face mask when in public areas where social distancing is not possible.

You are required to wear a face mask when riding DART’s buses and trains. If you didn’t bring your own, DART employees are giving out face masks until we finish installing face mask dispensers on all our vehicles.

  • Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water. Use hand sanitizer when soap and water are not readily available.

We are installing hand sanitizer dispensers on all our bus and rail vehicles. You also can use a tissue or napkin when you touch buttons, bars and poles.

  • Watch your distance. Individuals should maintain a social distance of 6 feet between others in public areas or when around someone who is sick.

We have reduced the number of passengers allowed on our vehicles to allow you to put space between yourself and other passengers. Try to leave an empty seat between yourself and other riders.

North Texas Does It Right!

DART supports the #NTXDoesItRight initiative led by Dallas County Health and Human Services that reminds North Texans that wearing a mask is the right thing to do. Dallas County has teamed up with three of our favorite DARTable partners: Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars, and the Dallas Zoo! Check out photos of how they stay safe by wearing their masks!

You can participate in the campaign by sharing photos of yourself following the three W’s on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #NTXDoesItRight in the caption.

We appreciate your efforts to keep yourself and those around you safe. Let’s all of us work together to stop the spread of COVID-19.
