Festival at the Switchyard 2026
The Carrollton Festival at the Switchyard celebrates its sweet 16th year on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. in Historic Downtown Carrollton. This free, rain-or-shine event fills the streets around the Downtown Carrollton Square with live music, food, shopping, and family-friendly fun, all just steps from Downtown Carrollton Station on the DART Green Line and Silver Line.
The festival honors the role the railroad played in putting Carrollton on the map, so there is no better way to arrive than by train.
To help festivalgoers get there and back, DART is running enhanced Silver Line service on Saturday, Nov. 7, with trains every 30 minutes in both directions for most of the day. The Silver Line connects Downtown Carrollton with Plano, Richardson, Dallas, Addison, Cypress Waters, and DFW Airport.
Heading home after the headliner? Westbound trains leave Downtown Carrollton at 10:24, 10:54, 11:24, and 11:54 p.m. Eastbound trains leave at 10:20, 10:50, 11:20, and 11:50 p.m., with the final trains at 12:20 and 12:50 a.m.
Green Line riders can also take the train directly to Downtown Carrollton Station. Plan your trip with the GoPass® app or at DART.org.
Main stage entertainment kicks off just after 11 a.m. with the National Anthem performed by students from Vivian Field Middle School. Bird Brains, a group of Lark Music Loft instructors, takes the stage at noon, followed by:
Local groups will also perform in front of the main stage throughout the day, including the R.E. Good Elementary Dance Department, the R.L. Turner Lionettes Drill Team, 410 Line Dancers, and Class Act Tap Company.
Every ride, game, and performance is free. Families can enjoy bungee trampolines, a zip line, a giant fun slide, carnival games, inflatables, a kids’ craft area, face painting, and balloon twisting. Strolling performers, including jugglers, stilt walkers, magicians, and costumed characters, will be out on the festival grounds all day.
Come hungry. Food vendors will serve festival favorites like turkey legs, barbecue, tacos, funnel cakes, and corny dogs, and Downtown Carrollton restaurants will be open. Adults 21 and up can visit the beer garden. Shops on the Square and artisan booths round out the day.
Festival parking will be extremely limited, so DART is the easiest way to get there. Take the Silver Line or Green Line to Downtown Carrollton Station and walk right into the festival. Accessible parking is available at most DART stations.
Regular DART fares apply. Buy your ride in the GoPass® app or at any station ticket vending machine. Festival admission is free, so no event ticket is needed.
