This spring, the agency welcomed two new members to the DART Board of Directors: Anthony Ricciardelli and Maureen Milligan. Representing the cities of Plano and Dallas, respectively, these two directors will play a vital role in guiding DART and helping us achieve the vision and goals of the Point B Strategic Plan.
Plano appoints Anthony Ricciardelli
The Plano City Council named outgoing city council member Anthony Ricciardelli as the interim director representing Plano. He has served the city’s residents on the Plano City Council since 2017, including two years as Deputy Mayor Pro Tem.
Anthony has a longstanding commitment to community involvement. The Governor appointed him to serve on the Red River Boundary Commission, which was tasked with redrawing a small portion of the Texas-Oklahoma border and previously served as Vice Chair of the Plano Heritage Commission. He has also served on several nonprofit boards and committees.
After earning an undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin, Anthony attended The University of Texas School of Law on a full merit scholarship as a Townes-Rice Scholar. He has an active commercial and civil litigation practice, representing clients in trial courts and on appeal. Anthony has argued cases in the Texas Supreme Court and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, among others, and has experience in both state and federal court trials.
Anthony has already proven to be a strong advocate for the interests of his hometown, and I look forward to working with him to strengthen DART’s partnership with Plano.
