Dallas Reggae Festival features art and crafts, jewelry vendors, Caribbean food, and – of course – loads of reggae music. The family friendly festival showcases performers from many generations. Escape to the islands for a few hours at Addison Circle Park. The park is very near the Addison Transit Center – served by DART Bus Routes 22, 200, 202, 227, 229, 235, 236, 237, 238, 239, 240, and 305.

Friday, April 12

Guys & Dolls is Repertory Company Theatre’s production of the classic musical all about gangsters, gamblers, and showgirls. Catch the performance through April 21 at Courtyard Theater, right across Haggard Park from the Red Line’s Downtown Plano Station.

MURROW by Joseph Vitale is the regional premiere of a powerful, multimedia, one-man show exploring the life and work of legendary journalist Edward R. Murrow. The timely examination of history runs through April 21 at Winspear Opera House. The venue is walkable from Pearl/Arts District Station on all four DART Rail lines, or from the M-Line trolley.

Farce of Nature highlights one day in the life of a Southern family and a mysterious guest at their run-down fishing lodge in the Ozarks – who turns out to be in the Witness Protection Program. See the country-fried farce through April 21 at Garland’s Plaza Theatre, a short walk from the Blue Line’s Downtown Garland Station.

Girl from the North Country reimagines 20 of Bob Dylan’s legendary songs of Bob Dylan as they’ve never been heard before. Set in Duluth, Minnesota, in 1934, the play follows a group of wayward travelers whose lives intersect in a guesthouse. Expect to hear some Dylan greats through April 21 at the Music Hall at Fair Park. The venue is a short walk from Fair Park Station on the Green Line.

Sessanta promises a unique experience: Rock bands Puscifer, A Perfect Circle, and Primus will team up, with the musicians from each band joining the others’ performances throughout the concert. Each group will have its own distinctive set, as well. The one-of-a-kind performance takes place at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, walkable from the Orange Line’s Irving Convention Center Station. You can also take Bus Route 227.

123 Andrés are a Latin Grammy-winning music duo known for catchy songs and lively performances. Their high-energy, joyful show celebrates the Latinx experience and incorporates Spanish, English, and ASL languages. Experience the performance at the Eisemann Center, right across the plaza from Galatyn Park Station on the Red Line.

Gabriel Iglesias comes to Dallas as part of his Don't Worry Be Fluffy tour. The comedian produces and stars in Mr. Iglesias on Netflix, where he also has a comedy stand-up special. He has numerous feature fil credits, as well. He brings his show to the American Airlines Center, served by Victory Station on the Green and Orange lines.
