There are lots of DARTable things happening this warm, sunny weekend – from theater, to comedy, to an opera for children. Read on to see what the weekend has in store.


Friday, Feb. 27

Arsenic & Old Lace, which was a classic Cary Grant movie in 1944, comes to the stage with all the humor and screwball zaniness of the original. See it through March 28 at Pocket Sandwich Theatre, walkable from Downtown Carrollton Station on the Green Line.

bbno$ comes to Dallas in support of his 2025 self-titled album. See the Canadian rapper at The Bomb Factory, which you can walk to from the Green Line’s Deep Ellum Station.

 

Drum Tao fuses traditional Japanese drumming with choreography and artistry. The internationally acclaimed group creates a unique evening of entertainment at the Eisemann Center. That’s right across the plaza from Galatyn Park Station on the Green Line.

 

Friday, Feb. 27-Saturday, Feb. 28

Ed Bassmaster is a YouTuber who plays a host of characters. He starred in the TV prank series, The Ed Bassmaster Show, and tonight he comes to Punch Line Irving. The venue is in the Toyota Music Factory complex, walkable from the Orange Line’s Irving Convention Center Station.

Dog Man: The Musical is based on the bestselling book series following the adventures of a canine superhero. Can he catch Petey, the world’s most evil cat? Find out at the Majestic Theater, easily walkable from St. Paul Station on the Red, Blue, Green, and Orange lines.


Friday, Feb. 27-Sunday, March 1

Pictures at an Exhibition is a musical gallery tour by the Russian composer Mussorgsky. The Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Artist-in-Residence Leonidas Kavakos also leads the concertmaster in a concerto by Prokofiev. Experience it at the Meyerson Symphony Center, walkable from Pearl/Arts District Station on the Red, Blue, Green, and Orange lines.

 

Saturday, Feb. 28

The Three Little Pigs Family Opera is a special 30-minute piece designed for audiences aged 3 and up. True to the classic tale, this English-language performance is the perfect introduction to opera for young people. See it at the Winspear Opera House, walkable from Pearl/Arts District Station on the Red, Blue, Green, and Orange lines.
