See the actor and comedian at Punch Line Irving. That’s part of the Toyota Music Factory complex, walkable from Irving Convention Center Station on the Orange Line.

The Other Art Fair showcases 135 independent artists. The fair brings together local, regional, national and international talent, creating a vibrant art marketplace at Dallas Market Hall. You can walk there from Market Center Station on the Green and Orange lines, or catch bus route 230 from Southwestern Medical District/Parkland Station on the Green Line.
Friday, May 8

Brad Williams brings his comedy to Dallas as part of his The Tall Tales Tour. Williams is in the movie Spinal Tap II: The End Continues and he has had stand-up specials on streaming platforms. See him at the Majestic Theatre, a short walk from St. Paul Station on the Red, Blue, Green, and Orange lines.

Saturn Return is about a group of friends who are reunited in their hometown to attend a friend’s funeral. They are all about to turn 30, and they share their experiences of growing up and their more recent experiences in adulthood. See the play through May 24 at Undermain Theatre, a short walk from the Green Line’s Baylor University Medical Center Station.

Malcolm X & Redd Foxx Washing Dishes at Jimmy’s Chicken Shack in Harlem is inspired by a true story in which the two young men, pre-fame, become friends while working in a chicken shack. Their friendship is tested by the call of history. The world premiere offers fascinating insights into the formative experiences that shape legends. You can catch it through June 7 at the Wyly Theatre in the Dallas Arts District. Walk there from Peal/Arts District Station on the Red, Blue, Green and Orange lines, or from the M-Line Trolley.
Saturday, May 9-Sunday, May 10

Halperin Park Opening Weekend celebrates the brand-new, five-acre “deck park” spanning I-35 between Ewing and Marsalis Avenues. The festivities include live musical and dance performances, family-friendly activities, special Mother’s Day activities, food trucks, giveaways, and more. The park is a short walk from Dallas Zoo Station on the Red Line.

Monster Truck Wars bills itself as “America’s wildest monster truck show,” and it features giant, 10,000-pound monster trucks, along with a robot battle, kid’s power wheel races, and more. Kids can even ride in a real monster truck. The event takes place in Fair Park Coliseum, walkable from Fair Park Station on the Green Line.
Sunday, May 10

Sting brings his Sting 3.0 tour Irving. See the legendary musician at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, walkable from the Orange Line’s Irving Convention Center Station.
