From archaeology to singalongs to exotic cars, an eclectic weekend of DARTable events is lined up. Read on to see where we can take you.

Friday, Nov. 8
Rise Against has released nine albums in their career. See the punk band at House of Blues, walkable from West End Station on all four DART Rail lines.

The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe
examines American society, art, and human connectivity in a comical, quirky, and outlandish way. In its original run, the play starred Lily Tomlin. Catch it through November 17 at WaterTower Theatre. The venue is walkable from Addison Transit Center – served by DART bus routes 22, 200, 202, 227, 229, 235, 236, 237, 238, 239, 240, and 305.

Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert lets fans sing along with their favorite songs performed by a live band while watching the full film. Fans are encouraged to dress up as Mirabel, Luisa, Isabela, or any of their favorite characters from the film. Experience the performance at Eisemann Center, just across the plaza from Galatyn Park Station on the Red Line.

 

Friday, Nov. 8-Saturday, Nov. 9
Dallas Black Dance Theatre Director’s Choice: Inner World celebrates the acclaimed troupe’s 50th anniversary with a curated showcase featuring works exclusively from Dallas Black Dance Theatre alumni. Catch the performance at the Wyly Theatre, walkable from Pearl/Arts District Station on all four DART Rail lines, or from the M-Line Trolley.

 

Saturday, Nov. 9

Cars & Coffee showcases a collection of nearly 100 exotic and luxury cars. Visitors can admire the vehicles while enjoying complimentary morning donuts and coffee. The event starts at 8:30 a.m., and takes place at SMU/Mockingbird Station. You can get to the venue on the Red, Blue or Orange lines.

Plano Archeology Fair lets visitors dig into the prehistoric past. Activities include demonstrations by a Native American performing group, demonstrations of flintknapping (stone toolmaking); and an array of hands-on, kid-friendly crafts. It’s all at Haggard Park, right next to Downtown Plano on the Red Line.

Rainbow Kitten Surprise brings its Tiny Music Box Tour to Irving. See the alternative rock band at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, walkable from the Orange Line’s Irving Convention Center Station. You can also take Bus Route 227.
