Irving Berlin’s White Christmas is Repertory Company Theatre’s production of this musical adaptation, which features 17 Irving Berlin songs – including, of course, the timeless “White Christmas.” Catch it at Plano’s Courtyard Theatre through Dec. 23. The theater is just across Haggard Park from the Red Line’s Downtown Plano Station.
The Nutcracker captures the enchantment of the holiday season with Ballet North Texas’ annual presentation of the classic. The production features amazing sets, snowflakes, waltzing flowers, and the cast of characters we’ve all come to know and love. See the classic performance at Moody Performance Hall through Dec. 23. The Polyphonic Spree 20th Annual Holiday Extravaganza stars Dallas’ premier – and only – rock band/choir/orchestra. The world-famous group, led by front man Tim DeLaughter, puts on a rousing holiday show two nights in a row. The Polar Express in Concert brings the Academy Award-nominated holiday classic to the Meyerson Symphony Center for the first time. The Dallas Symphony Orchestra performs live with the film. Saturday, Dec. 16
North Pole in the Plaza transform Richardson’s CityLine into a winter wonderland. It’s a great event for families: Kids can play in six inches of snow, plus enjoy a kiddie train, face painting, cookie decorating, and a screening of the holiday favorite, Elf. Adults, meanwhile, can enjoy specialty holiday drinks at the CityLine restaurants, and everyone will be dazzled by the half-million holiday lights decking the plaza. Get to the plaza by taking the Red Line to Galatyn Park Station.
Saturday, Dec. 16-Sunday, Dec. 17
A John Denver Christmas stars Rick Schuler in a tribute to the Rocky Mountain troubadour who turned out hit after hit in the 1970s, and hosted some popular holiday television specials. Expect to hear all those hits, plus the holiday songs from the TV specials, at the Eisemann Center. The venue is right across the plaza from the Red Line’s Galatyn Park Station.

Anita Baker comes to Dallas to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her debut solo album, The Songstress. See the veteran R&B/soul artists at American Airlines Center, served by Victory Station on the Green and Orange lines.
