A Christmas Carol is the Dallas Theater Center’s annual production, featuring spectacular sets and rousing music. The holiday favorite plays through Dec. 27 at the Wyly Theater, walkable from Pearl/Arts District Station on all four DART Rail lines, or the M-Line Trolley.

The Trains at NorthPark through Jan. 4. DART is proud to partner with the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas to help sponsor the event, which is the biggest miniature train exhibit in Texas. It includes vivid, fascinating landscapes along 1,600 feet of track that journey through America’s most iconic cityscapes. You can get to NorthPark Center on bus route 20, departing from Park Lane Station on the Red and Orange lines.

Rockin’ Around the Circle transforms Addison Circle into a winter wonderland where the whole family can enjoy sparkling lights and seasonal events. The festivities run through Dec. 31. Get there by taking the Silver Line to Addison Station, or by catching a number of buses to Addison Transit Center.

Holiday at the Arboretum transforms the gardens into a festive wonderland. Stroll through the 12 Days of Christmas gazebos, explore the quaint Christmas Village, and enjoy a new after-dark display of light installations. Experience it through Jan. 4. Get there on bus route 214.

Dallas Zoo Lights boasts more than two million lights that bring the grounds to life, plus dozens of animal-shaped light sculptures and lanterns, photo opportunities, performances, and visits with Santa. Catch the beautiful display through Jan. 4. Get there by taking the Red Line to Dallas Zoo Station.

Lone Star NYE rings in the New Year Downtown-Dallas style, with a Texas-style celebration featuring fireworks high above the city’s iconic Reunion Tower. The fun takes place on Dec. 31, of course, and it happens downtown – the area near EBJ Union Station on the Red and Blue lines should provide prime viewing.
