DART to the 2021 Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot

The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot is a tradition more than 50 years in the making – and one of the largest multi-event runs in the country. Every year on Thanksgiving morning, the popular event kicks off at 9 a.m. in front of Dallas City Hall. The holiday tradition includes both certified 5K and 8-mile races in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. If you choose to walk some or most of the course, no worries; you’ll have plenty of company!
Race day registration begins at 7 a.m. at Dallas City Hall Plaza, and the main races start at 9 a.m. There’s also a virtual option; check the website for details.DART Rail will operate three additional Red Line trains and one additional Blue Line train on Thursday morning. City Hall is about a 10-minute walk from EBJ Union Station on the Red and Blue lines (the Trinity Railway Express does not operate on Thanksgiving Day). It’s about the same distance from Akard Station on all four DART Rail lines. For more details on the Thanksgiving Holiday service schedule, you can read more here.
