The State Fair of Texas® is underway, but there is still plenty of time to get in on the fun. The fair runs until Oct. 22. Before you head to Fair Park, here are some ways to make the most out of your visit.

1. Ride DART and Park for Free
Day passes on DART are never more than $6 for local fares, and there are discounts for seniors, children, and high schoolers. Learn more about DART fares at DART.org/fares

Download our free GoPass app to buy DART passes on your phone. You can also pay for an Adult Local Day Pass using a contactless credit or debit card, or payment-enabled device, at the tap card readers on DART Rail platforms and buses. Visit GoPass.org for more information.

Plus, parking is always free at DART Rail and TRE stations. Discover which stations have parking lots at DART.org/parking

2. Extra Rail Service During the State Fair
DART is running extra Green Line trains to Fair Park and has extended Orange Line trains to Parker Road during the fair. Read more about our expanded State Fair service and other special deals here on DART Daily: DART is Your Fast Track to the 2023 State Fair of Texas

Or on our website at DART.org/StateFair

3. Be Thrifty on Thursdays!
Every Thursday of the Fair is Senior Day and senior citizens 60 years and older receive admission to the fair for only $5.

Those days are also Thrifty Thursdays where participating food vendors offer one of their signature menu items at a reduced price, ranging from mini versions to regular-size items.

Find additional discounts and deals at BigTex.com/discounts

4. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month
At the Women’s Museum, fairgoers can find MUNDO LATINO: “DIA DE LOS MUERTOS,” a celebration of the rich history and significance of the Day of the Dead. Featuring art installations, live music, and face painting, this experience will both entertain visitors and explore the cultural significance of the holiday. This year, the exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day of the fair.

5. Simpler Rail Plan for Oct. 7 Red River Rivalry Saturday
This year, there will be no changes to regular DART Rail service on the day of Texas-OU game. We will be adding rail service on the Green, Red, and Orange lines to make it easier for riders to get to the fair and back.
